- Build a practice test to make sure students do not have any technical difficulty and know what format to expect for assessments in the course
- Have students create portfolios or projects to assess the skills and knowledge of the students

- Enforce a valid excuse policy

- Create interactive PowerPoint’s that quiz students
- Spread out events on the calendar to establish a routine
- Use discussion board to "collect option in blackboard" messages and view all messages for grading: discussion board>>select forum>>select the "show option tab">>select all messages you wish to collect>>choose the collect button
